YOUTH IN TRANSITION

Youth-in-Transition is an employment program for unemployed and underemployed youth under 30 years of age. Delivered by the YMCA of Hamilton/Burlington and funded by the Government of Canada.

There are 50 internships available per year within the City of Hamilton (for youth 15-30). Participants undergo one week (35 hours) of pre-employment workshops prior to the start of the internship. Participants are paid by the YMCA for their workshop activities, and benefit further through ongoing monitoring and case management.
